New schedule of the Annual IFA Congresses

Dear IFA Members,

We are very pleased to inform you on the new schedule of the Annual IFA Congresses. Due to the Covid-19 situation the 2020 Cancun Congress had to be postponed to 2022; the Berlin Congress will remain to be held in 2021. For 2020, the Cahiers will be published and distributed this year and the PSC is working on a series of events to be held via electronic means in the second half of 2020. The dates will be further precised during the coming weeks. All further, future IFA Congresses will be held one year later than originally planned. More information can be found below.

We thank all future Congress Organising Branches, IFA's Executive Committee and IFA's Permanent Scientific Committee for their support and cooperation to make this happen. Stay well, stay safe and we look forward to seeing you all virtually later this year, and in person in the years to come!

Virtual programme autumn 2020

In the second half of 2020 a virtual programme will be organised as alternative for IFA's Annual Congress. The Main Subjects, IFA/OECD, IFA/EU and IFA's session on Recent Developments will be held virtually on the IFA website. Also IFA's Young IFA Network (YIN) will organise a virtual session. Stay tuned and check the website regularly for updates.
The IFA Cahiers 2020

The IFA Cahiers on the Main Subjects, "Reconstructing the treaty network" and "Exchange of information: issues, use and collaboration" will be published this year. The digital publication will be available for IFA members on the IFA website by the end of June. The summary publication of the general reports, the OECD and EU reports will be sent to all members in September 2020.  
Annual IFA Congresses: Berlin in 2021 and Cancun in 2022

2021 will see the Berlin Congress take place as originally planned. The IFA Congress 2022 will take place in Cancun. We are pleased that our participants will have the opportunity to visit Mexico and attend this Congress with an updated scientific programme. All other future Congresses will be postponed with one year and we would like to thank all the Congress Organising Branches for their support and solidarity.
