About the webinar

IFA India – WRC event – Webinar on Mandatory Disclosure Rules scheduled on the 17th September 2021 between 6.00 PM and 7.30 PM IST. The event will be held through the online mode.

Webinar details :

A lot of discussion on BEPS has been around Action Plans 1 (Taxation of Digital Economy), 4 (Limitation of interest deduction), 6 (Prevention of Treaty Abuse), 7 (PE Status), 8-10 (Transfer Pricing), 15 (MLI). One area which has been less focussed upon, at least in India, is AP 12 dealing with Mandatory Disclosure Rules. Few countries have already incorporated the MDR in their domestic laws, either by themselves, or pursuant to the DAC 6 Regulations in the EU.  The regulations require disclosure of tax affected arrangements not only by the tax payers, but also by the intermediaries like accountants and lawyers.

To get a bird’s eye view of the regulations in other countries, the webinar has four overseas speakers who will share their experiences about MDR in their regimes. We shall also have a brief discussion on the disclosure Rules in India, so that there can be a comparison of the Indian regime, which though nowhere near the MDR, but indeed are very comprehensive.

The speakers and the topics to be deliberated are:
