About the Forum

IFA Ukraine is delighted to welcome you to the First Tax Digital Forum.

This international forum will focus on tax issues in IT and telecommunication business in contemporary circumstances of digital economy. It will take place in Kiev on 30 November 2018 from 09:00 to 15:30.

Session 1: Digital economy

• Impact of digital economy on international taxation;
• Digital economy: global payments key trends and statistics;
• Transfer pricing in the cases of the Polish Supreme Administrative Court. New problems on the horizon;
• Changes to PE concept. Server as permanent establishment. Distribution vs agency contract.

Session 2: Actual issues of taxation of software transactions

• VAT and withholding tax on software as a service;
• Sale of software jointly with equipment, technical support, access keys, databases, web-sites, rent of servers;
• End-user licenses and delivery of software;
• Cloud technologies – problems of taxation;
• Taxation of cryptocurrency in different countries;
• Income tax and VAT: how applied to the transactions over the purchase of cryptocurrency in Ukraine.

Report on the Tax Digital Forum

International Fiscal Association Ukraine with partners organized the international conference “First Tax Digital Forum” that brought together representatives of Government, IT and telecommunication companies, experts and tax advisers to discuss tax issues in the digital economy. Speakers were from Austria, Cyprus, Poland, and Ukraine. The event took place on November 30, 2018, in Kyiv, Ukraine.

The Forum addressed the topical issues of digital economy and international taxation: BEPS measures and their worldwide implementation; challenges of digital economy for tax authorities and taxpayers; VAT and withholding tax on software as a service; cloud technologies – problems of taxation; problems of IT taxation; other topical issues of taxation in digital economy.

The event rose up great interest and united many participants. Therefore, it was decided to hold the Second Tax Digital Forum in 2019. International Fiscal Association Ukraine invites anyone to join us
