The International Fiscal Association is deeply saddened by the passing of Toshio Miyatake, Honorary Member of IFA and Supreme Advisor of the IFA Japan Branch.
A highly respected international tax practitioner, author and educator, Mr. Miyatake was among the founders of the IFA Japan Branch in 1975, later serving as its Chairman and as a member of IFA's Executive Committee. He was also instrumental in the organization of the 2007 IFA Congress in Kyoto.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the Association, Mr. Miyatake was elected an Honorary Member of IFA in 2013.
Mr. Miyatake will be remembered for his dedication to IFA, his leadership within the international tax profession, and his generosity towards colleagues and friends around the world. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and the members of IFA Japan at this difficult time.
