IFA Mentoring Platform

The IFA Mentoring Platform is a structured initiative designed to promote professional development, foster knowledge exchange, and support career growth within the international tax law community.

What is the aim of the Platform?

IFA Mentoring Platform connects motivated Mentees with experienced Mentors, creating meaningful professional relationships that foster guidance, skills development, and career progression.

Launched in 2023 under the auspices of Global IFA and pioneered by IFA Poland together with its Young IFA Network, the IFA Mentoring Platform is an innovative and structured programme.

Overall, the Programme aims to foster a stronger and more forward-looking international tax community. Global IFA supports and promotes the IFA Mentoring Platform because it represents a direct investment in the future of the Association.

Programme Rollout – International Implementation

The success of the first two editions in Poland, concluded in 2024 and 2025, has clearly demonstrated the programme’s impact. It has inspired Global IFA to support its rollout across IFA Branches worldwide.

In 2026, IFA Malta became the first IFA branch after Poland to launch the programme. Two Mentees have been confirmed and connected with two Mentors.

The IFA Uruguay edition is in progress, with four Mentees confirmed: two following the Academic path and two following the Tax Advisory path.  Duration of the pilot programme: March to November 2026.

IFA Denmark has announced the call for Mentees. Responses are expected to be sent out in early April 2026.

In the course of mentoring, the Mentee will, with the help of the Mentor, set long-term and short-term goals that they will strive to achieve during the Programme with the support of the Mentor.

Branches that are implementing the IFA Mentoring Platform locally are supported by the IFA General Secretariat and provided with the following materials:

  • Videos to support the Mentoring Process
  • Implementation Manual and Appendices
  • Communication Kit
  • Practical Mentoring Materials for Distribution
